So what’s the plan?
What you’ll get when working with Ring On It
The First Call
We’ll have a quick phone / video call just to chat. We’ll take the time to figure out your plans, dates, locations, as well as get to know each other. We want to make sure we all gel together and could end up being besties. You don’t need to bring anything, we’ll just have chin wag!
The Meeting
This is where the magic starts. An hour or two at your place, my place, a cafe or pub, where I find out your story. How did you meet? What is your favourite colour? Who is the better dancer? Or who can remember the lyrics to “Ice Ice Baby”?
But seriously, we also talk about your hopes and dreams as a couple, the style of wedding you want. You’ll need to bring some ID so we can get started on the government paperwork (yaay!), and you might end up with some homework, but like fun homework, not math or anything like that.
The Details
I have to do a bit of homework here. I’ll mock up your ceremony up at this stage, taking what makes you special, and writing it into a performance that is special. You’ll get the chance to read it all to review it as many times as you like up to the rehearsal. (For those who are worried, if you’re writing your own vows, we won’t share these with your partner just yet, so they’re a surprise on the day).
The Rehearsal
If your location allows it, and you want one, a rehearsal a week or two before the weddings is a great idea. It helps to take the guess work out of entering the venue, figuring out where people are standing, and help calm your nerves about what will happen on the big day.
The Ceremony
I’ll arrive at least 30min before the ceremony starts, get set up, and be there to calm nerves, chat to the team, and deliver crisp high fives. I’ll bring a Mic and Speaker system if your venue doesn’t provide one, and go over the timing of the music with the band / DJ / best friend on Spotify.
All you have to do is show up, have one of your mates bring the rings, and prepare for a great time. You’ll walk out of there a married couple, with a fancy bit of paperwork to prove it.
The Paperwork
Whilst you’re busy enjoying your honeymoon, or doing whatever a newly married couple does, I’ll submit your official paperwork to the Registry of Births, Deaths, and Marriages. They’ll process your official marriage, and send you the government stamp of approval. If you can share a google review here, that would be great!
